Neighborhood Groups

As of September 2008, three Boulder neighborhoods have formed local climate action groups that are building community by offering events and education focused on reducing our household carbon footprints. Some initiatives include a walking Solar PV tour, a block party/movie night, film and book clubs, Neco pass coordination, recycling efforts, car-sharing, and a "Biggest Carbon Loser" contest challenge between two neighborhoods.

Join your neighborhood group by visiting one of the websites listed below. If your neighborhood isn't listed, contact Beth Powell at 303-441-1846 or powellb@bouldercolorado.gov to find out if efforts are underway in your area.

"How to get started" meetings are being hosted about every two weeks at the city's ClimateSmart headquarters in downtown Boulder, contact us soon to be invited to the next one!
