Energy Efficiency

Residential Energy Action Program (REAP)

Sign up for an energy audit
Every year, the average American spends $450 on energy wasted through holes and cracks in their home. ClimateSmart's non-profit partner the Center for Resource Conservation (CRC) has partnered with Xcel Energy to offer low-cost energy audits. An energy audit breaks down your home's energy usage and gives you a personalized set of recommendations to lower your energy bill. Contact the CRC to to sign up.

Already had an energy audit?
Starting March 1st, 2009, Boulder County and the cities within the County offer the ClimateSmart Residential Energy Action Program (REAP). It includes services such as energy counseling and support to implement audit recommendations, and connection to rebates and financing through federal and local sources such as the ClimateSmart Loan Program. To participate in the new REAP, send an email to reap@conservationcenter.org and include your name, phone number and whether you have had an energy audit.
